Include the name of the school(s) you would like to volunteer. Our policy requires volunteers to provide three personal (non-family) references. Upon submission, your application will be forwarded to the school for consideration.
After your application is processed by the school, you will be contacted by Human Resources to complete a background check.
By law, anyone who is not a parent or guardian of children in our schools must complete a background check.
Options for this process are:

OPTION 1-have your fingerprints rolled at the CFSD district office. This service is free for volunteers but processing time can be at least 8 weeks so plan accordingly. Call 520-209-7531 to schedule an appointment.
- OPTION 2- provide or obtain a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State of Arizona. Please visit the AZ DPS Website to apply for your fingerprint clearance card. When completing the online application, please select Identity Verified Prints (IVP) - Volunteer or Student and Public and/or Charter School Non-certificated Personnel. Processing time for this method is approximately 5-10 business days. The fee is approximately $67 and is not reimbursed by the district.
IVP fingerprint clearance cards are valid for six years and can be renewed electronically.
When we verify that your background check has been completed your name will be placed on the next scheduled Governing Board agenda for approval, and you will receive further instructions to finish your processing.
Depending upon the which option you choose for your background check, the processing time can be up to 10 weeks from application to the time you can start volunteering, so please plan accordingly.
NOTE: A school principal has the right to limit the number of volunteers or visitors on school campus at any time.
