Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to the Catalina Foothills Unified School District #16 in Tucson, Arizona, a system of schools recognized as an exceptional learning place for our community's children. All of our schools have been labeled "excelling" by the Arizona Department of Education each of the past eight years, an indication that we consistently reach high levels of student achievement.

We are committed to a 21st century learning agenda that prepares our students well for what comes after their PreK-12 years with us. We believe that a dynamic 21st century curriculum taught by highly competent professionals who are held accountable for learning results is key to our students' academic success.

I hope you will take the time to get to know us better through this Web site. There are links throughout the site that will take you to video and audio clips of our students, staff, and parents whose images and voices tell our educational story. Enjoy.

Sincerely,

Mary Kamerzell, Ph.D., Superintendent
